Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I hope everyone is having a great St. Patrick’s Day, and hopefully wearing something green on your run today. Congratulations to those over this past weekend that ran a St. Patrick’s Day themed race. I saw many photos from different races around the country and they looked like so much fun!

imageFor my run today I tried to be festive with my green Nike shorts and green Balega socks. I just ran 3 easy miles this morning because it was so humid outside. Tuesday was speed work, and yesterday I ran 5 miles so I felt I needed a short easy run.

imageWhen I got back from my run, I went to Einstein Bagels to get one of those green bagels. Unfortunately they ran out!

imageWould have been a great post recovery meal- so I had to improvise with green cream cheese. Don’t follow my example with this food choice. Definitely not the healthiest post recovery meal. Maybe eat your greens in your smoothie today. I don’t know, have fun! 🙂 How are you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day?

I think I just celebrated it in a more unhealthy way than you…the pub! Back home now though. Happy St. Patricks Day! x

    1. The pub sounds fun though! Yeah the green cream cheese/white bagel definitely isn’t as healthy as my usual post recovery smoothie. No one should follow my example in that food choice. Lol. Happy st. Patrick’s day!

  2. I’ll be running a St. Pat’s Day race this weekend actually, so funny that it’s after the holiday!! We have a parade and everything too down in Dallas so should be fun.

    Enjoy your day!
