Hello, everyone 🙂 Congratulations to those runners that ran the Star Wars: the Light Side half marathon over the weekend! Yesterday, I had the day off like I’m sure many of you fellow Americans had for Martin Luther King Day. I spent my day going to a local used bookstore and reading. Many of you may not know, as much as I am a runner, I am just as much an avid reader. Many different genres interest me such as fiction, history, biography, sports, teen, and fantasy. I got to thinking this week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic should be running books to read this year.
Top 5 Tuesday: 5 Running Books I need to read in 2017
1. Once a Runner by John Parker
2. Born to Run by Christopher McDougall
3. Confessions of an Unlikely Runner by Dana Ayers
4. My Year of running dangerously by Tom Foremen
5. Fast Girl: A life spent running from madness by Suzy Favor Hamilton
The first three books on the list, I already own but haven’t gotten around to reading yet. The last two books on the list, I can get at the library or buy at a bookstore. I really want to read more books about running written by women this year. I know my list doesn’t reflect that, but it’s because I don’t know. Lol.
If you have any books on running to recommend, please feel free to comment below! I am interested in fiction and non-fiction.
